Last Sunday we put away our Christmas tree and ornaments. We got a real tree the year that Sude was born but since then we have had an artificial one. This way we don’t kill a tree every year and we don’t have to clean up after the real one. It does not smell as nice as the real one but I think it still looks as nice.
Our Christmas tradition since our kids were born is to get an ornament for each child every year. Usually the ornament represents something significant for that year, like Sude starting ballet or school. It can also be something that they picked for no reason at all like the Spiderman one that Korman picked last year. I also keep all the ornaments that kids make at school.
Each year we take the time to get them out of the box and talk about each. It is wonderful to remember and talk about the previous Christmases and how much kids had grown while sipping apple cider.
Now we will have to find the best spot for the tree in our new home. How fun...
