What happened to our tree?

After we came back from vacation when we were sitting in the living room, one of the trees that we had in our from yard did crumbled to the ground. Apparently, a lightning has hit it before and bugs had eaten it from inside. On top of it, there was a huge bee hive in it. Bees were not happy that they were disturbed.

We have a lot of trees in our yard. We ended up doing some cleanup when the tree people came to cut and haul our dead tree.

Not a great way to come back home...
