We have spent day 9 in the Yosemite Valley. This is the touristy part of the park. There are far more people than the parts that we saw the day before.
We have been told that the best way to see it is to park and take the public buses in the park. They were free. That is what we did. We went in pretty early in the morning to make sure we find a good parking spot. It was summer after all. You can see the morning mist in the pictures.
We rented two bikes to drive around, in the valley. There were a lot of races between "mom" and "dad" teams...
We went to see the Yosemite Falls. We were able to climb up to see the lower falls closer but the higher one was not really possible with the kids.
Then we went to see the Merced River which goes through the valley. Dad and the kids were brave enough to swim in pretty cold water. People can cruise through the river in rafts. But all passengers had to be at least 50 lbs. Korman did not make the cut...
At the end of the day we drove up the mountains to see the valley from the top. The view was incredible. You can see the falls that we saw when we were down in the valley from the top. It was truly amazing...
