Birthday cake...

This year neither Korman nor Sude did have a birthday party. After school started, as promised we had a birthday party for them. First, they were supposed to have their own but somehow they were willing to have one together. I wanted to make the cake this year. I have found a recipe in the web that was a good fit to our summer vacation; a sand castle cake.

I have failed to take some pictures when I started but it is mostly there. It turned out pretty good and it tasted great...

Instead of all vanilla cakes, I used 1 vanilla and 2 chocolate cakes. I had to use more vanilla icing than the recipe called for to cover the chocolate cake.

To give the sand castle effect, I used crushed vanilla wafers.

Then graham crackers, rock shaped chocolates, and pearl candy.
