I have found this recipe in Parents magazine and tweaked a little. It was very good and enjoyed by my kids... My kids think I should have a cooking show for TV. They are so cute...
Ingredients:
1 box pasta
4 Italian sausages
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 bunch of broccoli
2 cloves of minced garlic
1.5 cups of chicken broth
1 teaspoon Italian spice mix
salt and pepper to taste
Cook the pasta based on box instructions.
Then skin the sausage and cut them up. Fry them in the pan with a tablespoon of olive oil.
Add minced garlic cook for few minutes. Then add the broccoli and chicken broth. The instructions said to let it simmer so that the broccoli would cook. I had leftover steamed broccoli, so I used that. Let the mixture simmer until the chicken broth thickens a little bit.
Then pour the whole mixture on top of the pasta and sprinkle with Italian spice mix. It is a one plate meal with three food groups. No need to make anything else...
