CA Roadtrip - Day 2

The second day has started with a breakfast at Morro Bay. I am not sure having a chocolate chip muffin and a brownie was a good idea for breakfast but it is vacation, right?

We have started to drive up the coast towards Big Sur. On the way there, we have stopped at many vista points (scenic spots). The first one had lots and lots of squirrels. They were so cute and friendly. Kids fed them some nuts.

Then we got to stop and see some sea elephants. They were just laying at the beach, enjoying the sun.

Then we stopped at Ragged Point. This must be a "hot" spot for weddings. The view was gorgeous. The weather was a little foggy but it was still very pretty.

I really like this view...

Around lunch time, we made it to Big Sur. We stopped by the Big Sur Bakery and Restaurant. This is a restaurant next to an art gallery. The weather was great and the food was delicious. I think this was one of my favorite meals of the trip.

Then we headed to Big Sur Park. We got to see the colonial trees and did a small hike by the river. We did not have the right shoes, so we did not go further this time.

From there, we headed to Pfeiffer beach. We enjoyed the crashing waves. We even got to see a bride and groom who came for some pictures.

Our day has ended with driving up to Carmel and having a sushi dinner. We spent the night at Monterey. This was a great, memorable day.
